# Scriptorium vs Superintelligence

The clearest difference is rating: Scriptorium at 5.0 against Superintelligence's 4.2. Scriptorium also leads on iOS requirement (16.1 vs 26.0). Superintelligence's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (754 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scriptorium sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per month and Superintelligence sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scriptorium holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Superintelligence has 754 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 50% and 50% positive.

Scriptorium ships an update monthly, Superintelligence every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on September 12, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
