# Cheshmak vs VMYCAM

The clearest difference is rating: Cheshmak at 4.5 against VMYCAM's 1.5. Cheshmak also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 2). VMYCAM's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cheshmak holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cheshmak has 1.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Cheshmak ships an update every 6 weeks, VMYCAM every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
