# Pixel Pets vs Pixel Pets

The clearest difference is rating: Pixel Pets at 4.7 against Pixel Pets's 4.0. Pixel Pets also leads on ratings volume (5K vs 50). Pixel Pets's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 9) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pixel Pets sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Pixel Pets asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pixel Pets holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pixel Pets has 5K ratings behind it against 50, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Pixel Pets's written reviews are positive against 57% of Pixel Pets's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pixel Pets ships an update every 4 days, Pixel Pets every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
