# Intermatic Connect vs ChromaBright

The clearest difference is rating: ChromaBright at 5.0 against Intermatic Connect's 3.6. ChromaBright also leads on iOS requirement (12.1 vs 18.0). Intermatic Connect's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (9 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ChromaBright holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Intermatic Connect has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Intermatic Connect's written reviews are positive against 20% of ChromaBright's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Intermatic Connect ships an update every 2 months, ChromaBright every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on September 10, 2026 and September 17, 2026 respectively.
