# Remoteyes vs LANtern

The clearest difference is ads: Remoteyes at none against LANtern's shown. Remoteyes also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.6). LANtern's advantage is update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 26 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Remoteyes sells 12 one-off in-app purchases and LANtern sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Remoteyes ships an update every 26 months, LANtern every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
