# Barly vs BarPals

The clearest difference is update cadence: BarPals at every 4 days against Barly's every 6 weeks. Barly's advantage is ratings volume (14 vs 2) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Barly against 5.0 for BarPals. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Barly has 14 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Barly ships an update every 6 weeks, BarPals every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
