# Nipp vs Tied

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Nipp at none against Tied's 2. Nipp also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (13 vs 16.4). Tied's advantage is ratings volume (115 vs 1) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 11 days). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tied sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Nipp asks for nothing beyond the download.

Nipp holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tied has 115 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Nipp ships an update every 11 days, Tied every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
