# Rocket Stores vs Local Herb

Rocket Stores and Local Herb both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Local Herb's written reviews are positive against 29% of Rocket Stores's. Local Herb also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). Rocket Stores's advantage is ratings volume (2K vs 11). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Rocket Stores holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rocket Stores has 2K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Rocket Stores's written reviews are positive against 100% of Local Herb's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rocket Stores ships an update every 6 months, Local Herb every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
