# AniEraser vs OpenCut

The clearest difference is review sentiment: OpenCut at 100% against AniEraser's 21%. AniEraser's advantage is rating (2.6 vs 1.3) and ratings volume (85 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AniEraser sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and OpenCut sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AniEraser holds the better App Store score, 2.6 against 1.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AniEraser has 85 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of AniEraser's written reviews are positive against 100% of OpenCut's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AniEraser ships an update every 3 weeks, OpenCut fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
