# Smart Printer vs Print Now

The clearest difference is ads: Print Now at none against Smart Printer's shown. Print Now also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Smart Printer's advantage is ratings volume (3.5K vs 3) and chart position (#153 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smart Printer sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Print Now sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Print Now holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smart Printer has 3.5K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Smart Printer ships an update fortnightly, Print Now every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
