# Happy Texting vs Private

The clearest difference is rating: Happy Texting at 5.0 against Private's 4.4. Happy Texting also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3). Private's advantage is ratings volume (91 vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Private sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Happy Texting asks for nothing beyond the download.

Happy Texting holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Private has 91 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
