# Simple vs xuTry

The clearest difference is update cadence: Simple at every 5 weeks against xuTry's every 23 months. Simple also leads on review sentiment (89% vs 80%) and ratings volume (15 vs 3). xuTry's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

xuTry holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple has 15 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of Simple's written reviews are positive against 80% of xuTry's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Simple ships an update every 5 weeks, xuTry every 23 months. Both last shipped on October 12, 2026.
