# Scent Tech vs Smart home life

The clearest difference is rating: Smart home life at 4.3 against Scent Tech's 2.0. Smart home life also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Scent Tech's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Smart home life holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 81 and 72 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of Scent Tech's written reviews are positive against 8% of Smart home life's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Scent Tech ships an update every 6 weeks, Smart home life every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
