# Axon vs CarbonHRM

The clearest difference is rating: Axon at 4.8 against CarbonHRM's 2.5. Axon also leads on ratings volume (1.3K vs 8) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). CarbonHRM's advantage is iOS requirement (13 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Axon holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Axon has 1.3K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Axon's written reviews are positive against 43% of CarbonHRM's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Axon ships an update fortnightly, CarbonHRM every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
