# Axon vs DVR Detective

Axon and DVR Detective both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of DVR Detective's written reviews are positive against 40% of Axon's. Axon's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 4). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DVR Detective holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Axon has 1.3K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 40% of Axon's written reviews are positive against 100% of DVR Detective's.
