# EdrawMax vs DocScanX AI

The clearest difference is update cadence: DocScanX AI at every 2 days against EdrawMax's every 6 weeks. EdrawMax's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EdrawMax sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and DocScanX AI sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EdrawMax ships an update every 6 weeks, DocScanX AI every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 18, 2026 respectively.
