# Sketch Pro vs Letter Set Typography

The clearest difference is ads: Letter Set Typography at none against Sketch Pro's shown. Letter Set Typography also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Sketch Pro's advantage is ratings volume (12K vs 5) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sketch Pro sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Letter Set Typography sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Letter Set Typography holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sketch Pro has 12K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Sketch Pro ships an update every 3 weeks, Letter Set Typography every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
