# myESO vs Pal Guide

The clearest difference is ads: myESO at none against Pal Guide's shown. myESO also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.4). Pal Guide's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs monthly) and review sentiment (44% vs 25%). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. myESO sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pal Guide sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

myESO holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 78 and 175 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of myESO's written reviews are positive against 44% of Pal Guide's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

myESO ships an update monthly, Pal Guide every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
