# SmartTeach vs PS 138 Samuel Randall

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PS 138 Samuel Randall at 100% against SmartTeach's 24%. SmartTeach's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 2) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SmartTeach holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SmartTeach has 1.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of SmartTeach's written reviews are positive against 100% of PS 138 Samuel Randall's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
