# Hardcover.app vs Koob

The clearest difference is ads: Hardcover.app at none against Koob's shown. Koob's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hardcover.app sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Koob sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
