# Netvue Next vs Security Home

The clearest difference is rating: Security Home at 4.3 against Netvue Next's 2.6. Security Home also leads on ratings volume (11K vs 165). Netvue Next's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (52% vs 19%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Netvue Next sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $2.39 per month and Security Home sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Security Home holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Security Home has 11K ratings behind it against 165, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Netvue Next's written reviews are positive against 19% of Security Home's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Netvue Next ships an update every 2 weeks, Security Home every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
