# PDF Factory Plus vs Addons

PDF Factory Plus and Addons both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 60% of Addons's written reviews are positive against 25% of PDF Factory Plus's. Addons also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 26 months) and ratings volume (344 vs 10). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Factory Plus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Addons sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for PDF Factory Plus against 4.6 for Addons. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Addons has 344 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 25% of PDF Factory Plus's written reviews are positive against 60% of Addons's.

PDF Factory Plus ships an update every 26 months, Addons every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
