# AI Chat vs Whisper

The clearest difference is rating: AI Chat at 4.8 against Whisper's 4.2. AI Chat also leads on ratings volume (1.9K vs 203). Whisper's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Chat sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Whisper sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AI Chat holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Chat has 1.9K ratings behind it against 203, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 39% of AI Chat's written reviews are positive against 35% of Whisper's.

AI Chat ships an update fortnightly, Whisper every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
