# PicSolve vs Answer.AI

PicSolve and Answer.AI both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 75% of Answer.AI's written reviews are positive against 39% of PicSolve's. Answer.AI also leads on ratings volume (166K vs 7.5K) and chart position (#138 vs unranked). PicSolve's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PicSolve sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Answer.AI sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Answer.AI holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Answer.AI has 166K ratings behind it against 7.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 39% of PicSolve's written reviews are positive against 75% of Answer.AI's.

PicSolve ships an update every 9 days, Answer.AI every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
