# PicSolve vs Studyable

The clearest difference is update cadence: Studyable at every 2 days against PicSolve's every 9 days. Studyable also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). PicSolve's advantage is ratings volume (7.5K vs 1.1K). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PicSolve sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Studyable sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Studyable holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PicSolve has 7.5K ratings behind it against 1.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of PicSolve's written reviews are positive against 37% of Studyable's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PicSolve ships an update every 9 days, Studyable every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
