# Lucky journal vs Journal

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Journal at 1.8K against Lucky journal's 30. Lucky journal's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 90%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lucky journal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Journal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Lucky journal against 4.6 for Journal. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Journal has 1.8K ratings behind it against 30, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Lucky journal's written reviews are positive against 90% of Journal's.

Lucky journal ships an update monthly, Journal every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
