# TixTown vs SafetyTymr

The clearest difference is monetization model: SafetyTymr at free against TixTown's ad-supported. TixTown's advantage is ratings volume (7 vs 1) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 10 days). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for TixTown against 5.0 for SafetyTymr. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TixTown has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TixTown ships an update every 5 days, SafetyTymr every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
