# SSPlay vs BestShort

The clearest difference is rating: BestShort at 4.7 against SSPlay's 4.0. BestShort also leads on ratings volume (1.7K vs 4). SSPlay's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BestShort sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per 7 days. SSPlay asks for nothing beyond the download.

BestShort holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BestShort has 1.7K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of SSPlay's written reviews are positive against 70% of BestShort's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
