# Spren Body Composition Scanner vs Glean App

The clearest difference is monetization model: Spren Body Composition Scanner at free with in-app purchases against Glean App's subscription. Spren Body Composition Scanner also leads on ratings volume (1.5K vs 13) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). Glean App's advantage is review sentiment (70% vs 46%) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spren Body Composition Scanner sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $10.49 per month and Glean App sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $42.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Spren Body Composition Scanner holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spren Body Composition Scanner has 1.5K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Spren Body Composition Scanner's written reviews are positive against 70% of Glean App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Spren Body Composition Scanner ships an update every 9 days, Glean App every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
