# Jotter vs Fanfics

The clearest difference is update cadence: Fanfics at every 4 days against Jotter's every 5 weeks. Fanfics also leads on monetization model (free vs freemium). Jotter's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 47%) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Jotter sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Fanfics sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Jotter ships an update every 5 weeks, Fanfics every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
