# FileMaster Pro vs CX File Explorer & Manager

The clearest difference is rating: CX File Explorer & Manager at 4.5 against FileMaster Pro's 3.8. CX File Explorer & Manager also leads on ratings volume (337 vs 100). FileMaster Pro's advantage is review sentiment (38% vs 29%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FileMaster Pro sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and CX File Explorer & Manager sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Written reviews complicate that: 38% of FileMaster Pro's written reviews are positive against 29% of CX File Explorer & Manager's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
