# The Longing Mobile vs Goetz

The clearest difference is update cadence: Goetz at fortnightly against The Longing Mobile's every 4 months. Goetz also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and price ($3.99 vs $4.99). The Longing Mobile's advantage is ratings volume (102 vs 2) and review sentiment (80% vs 60%). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

The Longing Mobile costs $4.99 and Goetz $3.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Goetz holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Longing Mobile has 102 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of The Longing Mobile's written reviews are positive against 60% of Goetz's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

The Longing Mobile ships an update every 4 months, Goetz fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
