# Lighthouse vs CleanNow

The clearest difference is monetization model: CleanNow at free with in-app purchases against Lighthouse's subscription. Lighthouse's advantage is ratings volume (914 vs 13). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lighthouse sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $10.99 per 7 days and CleanNow sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Lighthouse against 4.5 for CleanNow. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lighthouse has 914 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Lighthouse ships an update every 4 days, CleanNow weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
