# Ashes vs Ever Beyond

The clearest difference is ads: Ashes at none against Ever Beyond's shown. Ashes also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 33%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). Ever Beyond's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 6 months) and rating (4.1 vs 3.8). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ashes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Ever Beyond sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ever Beyond holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 14 and 32 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Ashes's written reviews are positive against 33% of Ever Beyond's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ashes ships an update every 6 months, Ever Beyond every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
