# VideoLink vs FFVideoCam

VideoLink and FFVideoCam both sit at 1.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 50% of FFVideoCam's written reviews are positive against 5% of VideoLink's. VideoLink's advantage is ratings volume (40 vs 4) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FFVideoCam holds the better App Store score, 2.0 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VideoLink has 40 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 5% of VideoLink's written reviews are positive against 50% of FFVideoCam's.

VideoLink ships an update monthly, FFVideoCam every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
