# AI Chat 6.0 vs RipGuard

The clearest difference is ratings volume: AI Chat 6.0 at 54K against RipGuard's 3. AI Chat 6.0 also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.5). RipGuard's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Chat 6.0 sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and RipGuard sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RipGuard holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Chat 6.0 has 54K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

AI Chat 6.0 ships an update fortnightly, RipGuard every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
