# Minipaper vs Tapet

The clearest difference is rating: Minipaper at 4.5 against Tapet's 1.8. Minipaper also leads on review sentiment (48% vs 17%) and ratings volume (90 vs 5). Tapet's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Minipaper sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Tapet sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Minipaper holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Minipaper has 90 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 48% of Minipaper's written reviews are positive against 17% of Tapet's.

Minipaper ships an update fortnightly, Tapet every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
