# M2 Connect vs Fast VPN

The clearest difference is monetization model: M2 Connect at free against Fast VPN's subscription. Fast VPN's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

M2 Connect ships an update every 6 weeks, Fast VPN weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
