# Mycelium vs WAVA

The clearest difference is update cadence: WAVA at every 2 weeks against Mycelium's every 4 months. Mycelium's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Mycelium ships an update every 4 months, WAVA every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
