# Sparrow Capture vs Lumen

The clearest difference is update cadence: Lumen at every 6 days against Sparrow Capture's every 5 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sparrow Capture sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Lumen sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sparrow Capture ships an update every 5 weeks, Lumen every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
