# School Hack vs PhotoSolve

The clearest difference is monetization model: School Hack at free with in-app purchases against PhotoSolve's subscription. School Hack also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 11 days vs monthly). PhotoSolve's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.1) and review sentiment (72% vs 61%). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. School Hack sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and PhotoSolve sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PhotoSolve holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PhotoSolve has 1.4K ratings behind it against 210, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 61% of School Hack's written reviews are positive against 72% of PhotoSolve's.

School Hack ships an update every 11 days, PhotoSolve monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
