# VPN Fox vs RedgateVPN

The clearest difference is rating: RedgateVPN at 5.0 against VPN Fox's 4.4. RedgateVPN also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly). VPN Fox's advantage is ratings volume (18 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Fox sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and RedgateVPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RedgateVPN holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Fox has 18 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 95% of VPN Fox's written reviews are positive against 100% of RedgateVPN's.

VPN Fox ships an update monthly, RedgateVPN every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
