# Air File Share & Drop vs Smart Switch

The clearest difference is rating: Air File Share & Drop at 4.5 against Smart Switch's 4.0. Air File Share & Drop also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 5 weeks). Smart Switch's advantage is review sentiment (54% vs 43%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Air File Share & Drop sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Smart Switch sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $18.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Air File Share & Drop holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Air File Share & Drop has 8.5K ratings behind it against 170, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Air File Share & Drop's written reviews are positive against 54% of Smart Switch's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Air File Share & Drop ships an update every 6 days, Smart Switch every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
