# AVVA vs Tinker DIY

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Tinker DIY at 1.9K against AVVA's 2. Tinker DIY also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). AVVA's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AVVA holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tinker DIY has 1.9K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

AVVA ships an update every 2 months, Tinker DIY every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
