# Chess Cats vs Chess Trainer Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Chess Trainer Pro at 4.0 against Chess Cats's 3.7. Chess Cats's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 80%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Chess Trainer Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Chess Cats's written reviews are positive against 80% of Chess Trainer Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
