# Flock Safety vs Crew Mode

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Flock Safety at 7.8K against Crew Mode's 1. Crew Mode's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Flock Safety against 5.0 for Crew Mode. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flock Safety has 7.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Flock Safety ships an update fortnightly, Crew Mode weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
