# Notey vs Drum Coach

The clearest difference is ads: Notey at none against Drum Coach's shown. Notey also leads on review sentiment (84% vs 75%). Drum Coach's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notey sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Drum Coach sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Drum Coach holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 241 and 441 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of Notey's written reviews are positive against 75% of Drum Coach's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Notey ships an update fortnightly, Drum Coach every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
