# Notey vs Guitartopia

The clearest difference is ads: Notey at none against Guitartopia's shown. Notey also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Guitartopia's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notey sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Guitartopia sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notey ships an update fortnightly, Guitartopia every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
