# Notey vs UltraChord

The clearest difference is rating: UltraChord at 5.0 against Notey's 4.4. UltraChord also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 84%) and update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly). Notey's advantage is ratings volume (239 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notey sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and UltraChord sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

UltraChord holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notey has 239 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 84% of Notey's written reviews are positive against 100% of UltraChord's.

Notey ships an update fortnightly, UltraChord every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
