# Masjid Compass vs MyPray

The clearest difference is ads: Masjid Compass at none against MyPray's shown. Masjid Compass also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and device support (3 vs 1). MyPray's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Masjid Compass against 5.0 for MyPray. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyPray has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Masjid Compass ships an update every 6 weeks, MyPray every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
